FMEA Optimization for our Die Setup Process

Hello all, New to the forum here,and new to FMEA's in general.

I have been working on an FMEA for our die setup process, and the process is taking a very long time to complete.

We have a premade excel template to follow, but I was wondering if there are any tricks or procedures that might help speed up the process.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you could tell us what it is that's slowing things down, we can give better answers. Tell us about the general process you're following for doing the FMEA.

We are going through our Die setup Process, from the time the operator recieves the die and hardware fro the die shop, through to just before metal is poured in the die. Using an excel template I have created a tab for each process step. Each process step has anywhere from 1 to 20+ key inputs. I am running 1.5 hour meetings twice a week to get through this, and it has taken 2 months to get done.

I am going column by column in each tab and working my way down each input to fill out the document.
