Ford Q1 Booklets

I apologize if this has already been asked. I've been searching the forums.

Is there a place I can download Ford's Q1 booklets that doesn't require a supplier login on their portal? I have found the second edition on here but I've read there is a third edition. We're wanting to do a self-assessment to verify adherence to the Q1 standard.

Thank you

I found the following:

The Requirements to Receive Q1 Certification

  • Third-party Certification – QS-9000 or TS 16949, and ISO 14001; Compliance to MS 9000, MMOG or Odette.
  • Acceptance Manufacturing Site assessment
  • Shipping History – 6 months which includes:
    • No field actions (with supplier responsibility)
    • No stop shipments (with supplier responsibility)
    • PPM less than 150% of Commodity Average for both production and service
    • Minimum delivery rating of 81 points for both production and service
  • Endorsement – STA Customer
  • Q1 overall score at least 800 points

I have a 70 page 3rd edition pdf but it's confidential. 3rd came out in 2018. Here's a summary.

Oh okay. I thought it was something published like CSRs. Thank you. I'll need to look into how to obtain these without being on their system. They don't make it easy for businesses trying to get in, do they? Haha.

Thanks again

Just something to check into. It's been a while since I was in automotive, so this may have changed. My company at that time supplied two different Ford divisions (Body & Assembly (B&A), and Climate Control Division (CCD)). Each division had slightly different requirements for Q1, and they didn't always agree with each other as to whether a supplier was ready for Q1. We had to jump through a circus hoop with B&A to get Q1 long after CCD nominated us for Q1.

Interesting. Did each division have their own specific CSRs in addition to Q1 or was it simply a subjective interpretation?

I moved out of automotive during the transition from QS-9000 to TS16949, so CSRs weren't a thing yet. Now Ford has one CSR for the entire company. Whether that is true for Q1 is another thing since Q1 is an internal program, not an international standard.
