Ford's Global 8D - An online corrective action database

Has anyone heard of a revised version of this, possibly going under the title "Global 8D"?

I beleive Ford always refered to Global 8D

I believe you're right, Brian. I know of no specific 'revision'. The '8-D' system is outlined in https://Elsmar.com/8D/

The 'Global' part may be more specifically related to the Ford online database. For example, most larger companies have corporate noncormance / CA systems which gather data world-wide. Many are going to systems where suppliers go through the process On-Line. They're integrating everything.

Correct, Marc. A Ford STA basically said exactly that to me yesterday.

The "global 8D" can be accessed on the FORD "FSN" site. It requires an appointed supplier team mamber in order to be completed on site.
