Function in french called "numbre de posage(s)" - CMK Question

Hello,

We use for the calculation of the machine capability a software created by our customer. There is a function, in french called "numbre de posage(s)". Based on this function the value of the study increases or decreases. Has anybody an idea what does it means?

When searching for this I found a number of articles written in French, which I do not speak. The translation given was "number of postings". Given the context, I would infer that it may refer to the subgroup size. However, this is a guess on my part.

I don't speak French either, but I had a look at linguee and I get the impression that it has to do with the number of fixtures or jigs. Does that make sense?

Go right to the source. You say your customer wrote the software, so were it me I would call or email your customer and ask. The people who wrote the software would know. We can only guess here.
