Functional group / area responsible on a Control Plan

Hi,
I am studying in item "l functional group / area responsible" of general data of A2 element of control plan in Annex A of IATF16949 now.
In AIAG at CP topic, it is not specified its meaning of this element so could you let me know what is?

Functional groups can be any (or all) company disciplines (departments), such as manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, etc. Check out this presentation: https://elsmar.com/APQP/sld019.htm and check out the control plan sections. On a control plan it is the group / department responsible for that line item.

You will often see "cross functional groups" mentioned in many areas, including, for example, problem solving. It is a basic term. Also see "teams".
