Good Morning All and Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

Just wondering how the other Cover's brought in the New Year?

Personally My lady and I snored our way into the new year.
(just turning into boring old fuddy duddies)

My significant other and I were invited to a party at a club. We went (well it would be rude not to!!)
Just after midnight we were invited to carry on at someones house. We had never met these people before - and probably never will again. The 'house' turned out to be like something off Brideshead Revisited. Drink, food & music flowed. How the other half lives!!
Great! Hope the year is as good as the first hours.

New Year's Eve Evening we went to my boss's (2nd) wedding reception.
Went home around 10:30 to avoid the drunks and cops (I don't drink - personal choice).
Crawled into bed around 11:30 and watched South Park episodes and movie on Comedy Channel till I fell asleep.

I never saw the point of New Year's Eve celebrations. *shrug*
Just an another excuse for lots of people to get drunk , the alcoholics to get extra smashed , and plenty of drunk driving .

Me and mama sat at home sick with colds or a mild flu watching the Twilight Zone Marathon and old movies on TCM.

My hubby and I played cards at a friend's house. They set up a Eukre tournament and everyone brought a dish. I tied for second place and ate too much. Good times.

Good Times

Went to a house party with friends and witnessed a leg come through the dining room ceiling - from the attic. (what were they doing up there?)
The girl in the pretty black dress underneath that part of the ceiling was not too happy !!!!
Nobody got hurt
Man did we laugh.....

Movie night

My husband and I watched a movie with the kids (Herbie Fully Loaded) then stayed up and watched Star Wars Revenge of the Sith and American Pie presents Band Camp.

The ball dropped and then we discovered that Comedy Central was running a South Park marathon. I'm not sure what time I actually fell asleep but it was a lot more fun than being out in public with people on Amateur Night.

The wife and I shared a huge bowl of buttered popcorn and a couple of Root Beers while watching Star Wars III and a U2 concert.



Neither of us noticed the clock strike twelve. Guess it's no longer a big deal.
