We have been recently bought by a cooperate company. I work in our Quality Assurance dept. and I was hoping that someone may have a procedure to share for Integrating our QOPs and SOPs with the new business but not all at the same time it will be in a few months but I want to satisfy our up and coming audit with a customer by having a document to represent this delay. Any help would be great

There is no standard integration procedure for such a thing... There are so many variables and decision makers over which you have no control.
I think it's best to focus on getting to your new colleagues and understand their expectations. When the picture is clearer you can prepare a quality plan that will address all aspects of QMS integration.

I'm not in medical, but I've been through mergers and buyouts.
Sorry to say it, but in my experience you won't be integrating anything...you will adopt what the buying company did before the sale (you will comply).

I would spend a fair amount of your time learning how their QA department does things ...you will likely be living with that (good or bad) moving forward.

I am going to say 90% of the time you will be doing what the acquiring company does. I have personally witnessed one case where my company acquired another company and adopted a large amount of the acquired company's quality practices (including several that were really really bad.) Another example is Boeing. News articles stated that after acquiring McDonnell Douglas, Boeing adopted many of the McDonnell Douglas practices (even though McDonnell Douglas was struggling) which was a significant factor in the slow decline of Boeing that can be clearly seen today.

To address the part of the quote which I bolded: I suggest that your department begin working from an approved plan to integrate the practices of the two companies. Ideally, this would come from Management with Executive Responsibility, but you could also begin a Preventive Action in your CA/PA space. PA seems appropriate because you won't have evidence of QS non-conformances, but until you can integrate the two systems it is possible that there will be either gaps or waste (from duplicated efforts). Once you are working from a PLAN, you can share the plans with not just customers but also any other external groups that come looking.

I leave the details of the plan to you. The QS portions would probably be derived from performing a mapping of each company's QS to the existing procedures. The business portions will derive from somewhere different.

I've been through quite a few M&As on both sides of the fence. My current company requires that acquisitions convert over to the corporate standard on all QMS (and other) processes, unless the acquisition has an extra process not used by corporate. An earlier company that I worked for was acquired by another company that required the same. I also worked at a company that was acquired and left alone to do things the way we had always done them.
