Have QS & IS0:1994 need IS0:2000?

Okay, I'm a little confused. We are registered to QS9000 and IS09001:1994. I understand that if you are IS09001:1994 you must up grade prior to Dec 15/03 to IS09001:2000. Does this mean that it is a requirement for QS companies to upgrade their ISO to :2000 by 2003 as well.

Plus our upgrade to TS16949.

Either stay with QS for now or continue going for TS. In my opinion QS will not be revised to the ISO 9k2k version.

Take a good look at the QS9000 & TS16949 topics and you will get a good overview.
