I've seen a number of really good foreign films...

The Fabulous Life of Amélie Poulain

Pans Labrynth

Run Lola Run

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

~to name a few, but I don't think I'd have an urge to see these on the big screen.
I love foreign films - especially modern Chinese martial arts movies. I love Jet Li. Fearless and Hero - big thumbs up.

If you like Run Lola Run you'll probably like La Femme Nikita.

My gripe is actually with the critics. Movies to me are just entertainment. I don't go with the objective of enriching my knowledge or for spiritual enlightenment. One man's treasure is another man's trash. I was very particular to a B movie called "The Incredible two headed transplant."

I rarely go to the movies, don't like going there, I only go if I'm asked too. :tg:

Most of the stories on this thread are older then me, some are older by more then double my life time. :mg:

A little late to the discussion but:

I go MAYBE 1-2 times a year. Star Wars movies (yes even 1-3), first two Lord of the Rings (never did hit #3, had enough 3-4 hour epics), a few others like Matrix and odd others here and there.

I normally wait for Netflix, especially since I can add them to my saved list very shortly after theater release.

I did go to a drive-in last week (yes they still exist), and sort-of saw Evan Almighty and Shrek 3 (not my choices). I say sort-of because Shrek was the second one they showed and it kept messing up. Eventually we got disgusted and left. (Not a big sequel fan anyway).

I'm anti-social and cheap, two reasons to avoid the theater.

I don't go to the movies anymore. I usually fall asleep there....don't know why...

I usually watch movies at home. I've seen many good movies. The one I like most? The Blues Brothers!

With two kids, age 6 & 2, we really don't get out to the movies much.

We're considering getting a babysitter lined up to see the new Harry Potter movie next month.

The last movie I remember seeing in the theater was Shark Boy and Lava Girl with my (then) 5-yr old in a dollar house.
