What are the check points for holtest calibration (imperial)? In other words, How many ring gages should be used and what are their sizes?
I wonder if anyone can help me to make them clearer. Thank you very much!

I presume you are talking about 3-point internal micrometers.
In my entire career, I've only used the one master ring gage that came with the micrometer
(for in-house calibration). I often sent the ring gage out for recertification. Frequently, internal 3-point micrometers come in sets and have multiple rings to accommodate the range of micrometers within the set.
I'm aware Mitutoyo sells holtest. A phone call to one of their dealers will usually get you an answer within 24 hours.
It won't hurt to make arrangements with the manufacturer or supplier
(Mitutoyo may give you a copy of theirs as good will) of your gages to get a copy of their recommendation for calibration
as well as the technique of using a 3-point internal micrometer -- they can be tricky devils!
