Sorry, but I don't know what you mean by "value stream mapping". But really I'm interested in knowing more, because I like quality and I like and I've worked with mathematical models in some way. I'm eager to hear more.

The first thing I would do is to think what can be quantifiable. I know processes must be measured, so that's the first thing I would think of. But for that, I just have to compare results against objectives. I could also quantify inputs and money spent, something like that.

Right now, I'm working, but I'll leave it there. I don't want to close my mind into modelling something without taking into account any of your ideas. My offer is this: if someone asks me to think about something better and is willing to show an open mind, I bet we can workout something really interesting. I hope I've sound trustworthy. :eek:

do u know about system modelling corporation arena package

i working on developing a model with production lead time and wip inventory
as peformance measuring parameters and three main factors as lot size ,
tpm and setup time reduction
but i now need a simulation software to represent my current and final states
in a value stream map
do u know about any such simulation software and sites to download them
