How do I start the Transition ISO 9000:2000?

2000 revision start up

hi quality guys,

I wonder where should I start from to new revision register. Our company has previous revisions' documentation and our register will be finished on november 2003 and we plan to take a third party audit at the nov 2003. However I dont know where should I start? Now I am definning the processes of our company and then I will assign responsible of these process and then I plan to write down our procedures. Have you got any idea ?

Hi abnoyan,

Yes, What you are already doing is one of the things you should do of course. Another early step should be to make a gap analysis to see how much of ISO 9001:2000 your current system already covers. Then you'll know what you need to update and which new procedures you need to write.
