Thanks for the feedback everyone.
I have visited my doctor about this - she ran some tests and everything looked normal. I am sure it's entirely psychological - I just need to learn to deal with anxiety. I get the whole bit - feels like my heart is racing, shortness of breath, unsettled stomach, loss of appetite. I know I have anxiety issues, and am working on fixing that issue...it just seems to come and go with no particular trigger.
The lack of focus is relatively new - within the last few months - and the overwhelmedness (is that a word?) has occurred in the past, but it's an anxiety symptom, I think. I just don't know how to get out of it. My main problem is that I think too much...and the thoughts turn to worry in no time.
