What motivates me is that after having been put on lay off due to the plant closing, I was hired by Boeing in Charleston, SC. It is really a great company and I have a great boss, and we have a great mission. When I drive up the entrance every morning and see these big beautiful buildings, and construction of another, I think I am so fortunate to be here,espacially at my age.:D

Mine is in my tag line also. "There comes a point in time, where you have to stop letting things happen TO you, and start making things happen FOR you."

Something I came up with going to night school and tired of people whining and complaining about their lot in life.

One motivation I'll always remember is related to that as follows:

"There are 3 types of people in this world...
Those who make things happen
Those who watch things happen and
Those who wonder... what happened?"

Before my career started (was still in school), I saw a billboard advertising something (don't remember what). There was a comment about "leaving a trail in the sand".

At the time I took it as a message to "take action" in order to leave a positive impression on the people around you. Now that I have a daughter (she is 5), it means even more.

It certainly isn't a firm belief, but, it sure does help me stay focused on what is important to me.
