How can I seal gages properly? Thread gages get wax. Plugs get tags and zip ties. What about fluke meters and pressure gages. And things like that. How can I seal them for storage so that we know they’re still in good calibration
Surely, it must be easier to have an environment you can control access too than trying to seal individual pieces of measuring equipment?

You can never know that they are in good calibration. Equipment can drift to be out of tolerance even under ideal conditions.
The requirements for seals are to show they have not been used when you have a calibration program that is based on the usage of a tool, and applying tamper seals is to prevent adjustment of tools.
