How internal audit benefit the management level?

I implement internal audit and 2nd party audit many times.

But the more audit, the more confusion. the audit is not effective as expected.
no matter what kind of process approach used.

for ISO9001:2000/ TS2, how to audit management level and make them feel that it is worthy to be audited. what they can get from my audit? I always ask the management review, customer satisfaction and qulity objectives achievement. But seems boring to them. And no NC released at all.

can anybody share me your good points on management level audit?

Hi, hwang. I'd be bored, too, if the questions were just on management review, customer satisfaction and the achievement of quality objectives. :) Ask them about their improvement projects/initiatives...those tasks that will help them achieve quality objectives. Management just loves to brag and boast about their successes...and even if the improvement projects are not a success, they can be happy that they are applying the methodologies consistently.

Better yet, carry their responses down to the floor and the operators. I mean, management probably goes on and on and on about their committment and the policy and how wonderful they are, right? What do the operators think? Do they see the same level of committment? Do they know the policy? Do they agree with the policy?

Management probably praises themselves on training and documentation, right? Well, what do the operators think? Do they have the right stuff documented? Do they think they're trained? What do they think of the training processes?

Often we have seen that Management sees one picture and Operators see another. Internal audits may allow you to identify this gap and allow the Company to find a way so that they are all seeing the same thing.
