My bad...I did not see this was posted in ISO 27000... Not my field of expertise... the comments were about a general QMS...thanks Andy...
If you mean the "scope of your Quality System," that is simply a description of what the Quality System covers, or more importantly, what it excludes.
For example,
"The molding and assembly of products at Acme Company, at 123 Business St. Excluding the Tool Shop across the street. That is run by Corporate, and is not part of our activities."
NOTE: that Tool Shop might be identified as a remote support location in your QMS, but that is a different discussion. In my example, it would be outside the scope of your QMS, because your procedures are not implemented there.
