Quick question, for some reason I couldn't find it on the forum anywhere, but I'm wondering if someone could tell me how long we're required to hold on to both supplier PPAP doc's and our own under QS 9000. thanks for the help.
PPAP documents are a component of the part record. According to QS-9000 4.16.1:
"Production part approvals....shall be maintained for the lengeth of time that the part (or family of parts) is active for production and service requirements plus one calendar year unless otherwise specified by the customer..."
In this case "service requirements" means while the dealerships stock the part for warantee and repair.
