How many sentences does your Quality Policy statement contain?

How many sentences does your policy statement contain? If someone can turn this into a poll I would appreciated it.

One sentence which contains all the key words to help our folks out...but they don't need the policy to know how their job impacts the satisfaction of our Stakeholders.

Now the Safety and Environmental Policies on the other hand....Tolstoy is alive and well apparently!

For 9001, our statement has 2 (long) sentences. For 13485 it's got an extra 7 - without any help from Tolstoy

Boy, you got that right. No matter how much I pleaded to KISS, we all know that safety and environmental areas are so much more important that there is no way possible to say it all in one or two sentences.

ISO9001: Nine of them (I had to make it much longer than I really wanted to, in order to keep it in sync with our group policy).

Quality Policy of one of my clients says

"WE SHALL STRIVE TO BE THE BEST."

And every new TP auditor he meets, he keeps on having fights with for the auditor keeps insisting that the policy should include a reference to the Standard / QMS being followed.

Quality Policy of one of my clients says

"WE SHALL STRIVE TO BE THE BEST."

If they "shall" strive, when do they start striving? Using "shall" in that statement is the equivalent of saying, "We shall strive to the best, but not right now."
