Our COO has reviewed my suggested policy update, and feels it doesn't really address 5.3c (provides a framework for establishing and reviewing quality objectives), so I added 'measurable objectives' to the second sentence (which is now getting a little long-winded):
XYZ Corporation is committed to deliver products and services that satisfy customer requirements for quality, delivery, reliability and value.
We will achieve this through the use of robust design, quality materials, employee training and empowerment, measurable objectives and continuous improvement of our quality system.
I feel pretty confident that this covers all the bases of 5.3, and would pass an auditor's muster as well.
