How deep is the hole relative to its diameter size, what is the function related to the hole's perpendicularity, and what CMM procedure sequence are you using to inspect perpendicularity?

The hole is a thru hole about 3/4" in Length. Perp on the CMM is calculated by measuring the bore as a cylinder and comparing it to a plane which is a flange on the part; this is also a datum.
So you have a 2" hole 3/4" deep. Like Bev suggested do the MSA on the perpendicularity measurement and check out the specification ... if there is a diameter symbol in front of the tol make sure the CMM. is doing the axis perpendicularity rather than the cylindrical surface.
