How to calculate sample size and sample frequency

Hi All, i would like to kindly ask some questions.
Can i know how do we calculate and establish sampling size and sampling frequency.
I newly joined a company where they do not have any justifications with data on how they established the sample size and sample frequency.

Can someone kindly share to me how to do this step by step and establish a sample size and frequency?.
I do have Minitab and excel with me..please help.

Sample size for what? Control charts, acceptance sampling (inspection), validation testing, estimation and experiments etc. will all have different equations and approaches. It will also be dependent on what type of data you are working with. Frequency is not 'calculated'; it is determined based on knowledge of when a process can change substantially and will also be dependent on what type of sampling you are doing.

I suspect that you are most interested in inspection sampling size. I have a spreadsheet in that resources section that contains many formulas - and more importantly it has references for you to study to understand when and how to use the spreadsheet...
