Hello,
In our quality system, we have (of course), procedures & forms. Those are controlled.
For example, we have a maintenance form (and Excel spreadsheet) containing as many worksheets as we have machines.
Another example, we have a table listing all the crimping tools that must be used with different crimps part numbers.
In the past, when a modification was due, we were issuing ECR (Eng. Change Request) and ECN (Eng. Change Notices).
In our faster and faster environements, e.g. "nowadays", Manuf. Eng. doesn't want anymore to have to fill ECR and ECN for these "dynamic" tables ... and propose to have those documents timestamped and put on a read-only disk server.
Rev. change should only apply in theses cases when the template containing the info changes.
From my point of view, I don't see any problem although it's introducing "2 ways" to function regarding revision control, depending on the document we're talking about.
Question is : "What do you think of this proposition, fellow quality practionners ?
"
Thank you to all in advance !
