I'm trying to meet the TS requirements for a product audit but am having a difficult time finding what and when to audit to constitute a product audit. We batch blend lubricants and test the product at each stage of the process already.
1. Raw materials are added to a mixing tank
2. The product is mixed
3. After mixing the product is tested to a spec sheet.
4. When it passes it is loaded into a tanker truck and another sample is taken, tested and when it passes the truck is released.
According to several posts I've read through these inspections don't constitute a product audit because they are part of the regular process. If that is the case, what could I do for a product audit that would add value and not be something redunant to the current inspections?
Any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
