I am using a vision system between 60x and 200x to measure a molded silicone part that was later slit with a piercing blade. The objective is to measure the slit width and deviation from center. The part essentially changes every time you touch it.
My question then becomes... what measurement methods would be appropriate for a Gage R&R? My thought was to place ten parts on deck, let stabilize and then have each operator measure the ten parts once. Then reposition the parts and repeat two more times.
The operator input is to manually select what they perceive to be the center of the part based on mold ring marks and then manually pick points along the slit line at at it's ends to establish the slit offset and overall length.
