How to Start SPC in a Shaft Grinding Section

Dear All,

I have to implement Statistical Process Control for Shaft Grinding Process.

Need to know first step- where I have to start? What is the first step? Any specific point need to address?

Our finish process majorly consit of centreless grinding process?

I recommend viewing the video at this link. Once you have had a chance to try it out and understand it, the next step would be a 3-slice X hi/lo-R chart to control taper. DO NOT USE Xbar-R CHARTING for shaft grinding! It is the wrong charting methodology.
