How to streamline the search for environmental legislation?

Hi.

I am new to ISO 14001, and I would like to know if there is a fast and straightforward method to collect relevant environmental legislation for an environmental management system. My company is a startup, so the budget is limited. I am not interested in paying an external person to do it or paying for some software.

Where are you located? Your federal requirements should be available via the internet, as would state and most local requirements. If you live in a very small town you might need to ask them in person.
