HT2005
Has anyone seen a copy of the DRAFT HT2005 for heat treating - It would be nice to know what is in it before it strikes.

Welcome here

Bob, there are already 2 threads on this issue. You can use the search function and type HT2005 or see similar threads on the bottom of the page. Also, this thread would have been better under Automotive Stds, rather than the coffee break chatter.

I looked thru the HT 2005 draft. Seems like a lot of redundancy for a TS16949 certified facility. More money to be spent, and overhead costs increases. I didn't think the Heat Treaters were doing a bad job. Maybe we are just isolated here.

HT 2005 in your next TS audit?

Autotmotive Excellence Fall 2005 has an article on page 11 that says:

"IATF and IAOB have agreed to include the newly developed AIAG HT 2005 checklist ...in forthcoming TS audits...."

I hope I'm reading this wrong. Hopefully forthcoming means as forthcoming as the new PPAP? Or as firm as the July 05 TS deadline for DCX.

Has anyone heard anything?

Does anyone have a more recent draft copy of this than the 6/3/2005 version?

Thanks,
