Has anyone mapped their interrelationships involved in Human Resources:
  • the Job Description
  • Determining Competence
  • Training or Other Actions
  • Evaluate Effectiveness of Actions
  • and Awareness of the relevance and importance of activities and contributions to the Quality Objectives

I am in the process of doing such but would love some examples to bounce off from those who have already done so.

I did something a little like this for an article on competency-based training a while back (http://www.qualitydigest.com/may01/html/iso9000.html). The diagram didn't appear as part of the article, but I kept it anyway. It's attached to this post as "diagram 2." The other file, "diagram 1," shows the potentially vast differences in competency requirements for personnel. Both of these are overly simplistic, but they're at least sniffing down the path you mentioned. Feel free to use either of them.

It has taken some time to research concepts (e.g. Competency-Based Training, Mind Mapping, and present HRD system that is partially documented) and to obtain a decent Mind Mapping program (Plus take into account the Christmas Holiday time-off), but here is my initial attempt to document the Human Resources Development system. The initial feedback internally is nice attempt but too complex at this time.
