Little River Band - Reminiscing (1978)

Well, yeah.......of course! Why else would I get one?
Because we old folks want a *Late Life* crisis. Why, you young whipper snappers in your 40's need a crisis already? Al Bundy comes to mind for some reason (Born to be Wild?)... :notme:

My primary criterion for a car the last thirty years or so has been "Will it hold my golf bag and pull cart plus the gear of a playing partner if we decide to rough it and actually walk a course instead of tooling around in the little cart chasing the pretty girls in the beer and brat carts?"

When single I had a fair share of sporting cars - tuned 1100 cc MG engined Morris 1000, tuned Wolsley Hornet (mini), 3 Vauxhall Astra SR's, Reliant Scimitar GTE.

During 'family life' I've had the boring mundane cars (Austin All-aggro,Vauxhall Nova) and kid haulers (Vauxhall Estate car, Mister Bishi Space Wagon etc.) My love of Land Rovers' allowed my to tote kids, dogs, stuff to ski slopes, on vacation, school run etc and to have some off road adventures.

Now I'm single, the boys have their own transport - no dogs either, I have a LR for winter (and off road) and went back to my sporting car interests with the Cobalt. If I were having a real mid life crisis I'd have a Triumph Bonneville/Thruxton/T1000......;)

Crusader's new ride is really nice...

But my new ride is just plain cool:cool::cool::cool:

Look what Judi had waiting for me yesterday when I got home from an audit.

It's a 1990, nothing too fancy and it's mine:biglaugh::drool:

It's not perfect and there are some small fixes I need to do which is what I wanted in a 'Vette
Now that we've all completely derailed the thread and forgotten about you...:notme:
What plans do you have the new car? Any upgrades?

What engine is it running? Automatic or manual?

I bet Crusader's company has a supercharger that will bolt right up...

I already inquired...and the answer was not yet, and not sure if it's in the plans. :( Too early. We've just filled the back-orders after introducing them at SEMA last year. Now, we're building to stock in the warehouse. :)

Re: I got a new ride too!

Remember, I'm an old cop myself....That means "Get out of jail free cards"
It is always refreshing to realize that the rules and laws are selectively applied to the population. We should consider a similar differential treatment to former third party auditors, when working for registrants. All NC's uncovered by the external auditors would be rescinded, once the magic words are used... :sarcasm:
