I remember camping out in the computer building to wait on my punchcard FORTRAN program to compile. If it didn't, then it was 10 minutes punching some more cards and then a 3 hour wait for another try. 1 stupid error meant another 3 hour wait. The longer the time waiting, the greater the fatigue and the bigger the chance of coding a "o" instead of a "0".
Ha ha those punch cards! Took me a while to figure out that trying to run them after quarter beer night at Jack's wasn't a good idea. I made a C in FORTRAN and swore I'd never use another computer again.

You should have seen the pile of dishes, I had just completed a marathon session so I wouldn't have to cook for the rest of the week. (until turkey day, that is) and, yep, there will be many more dishes before he's off the hook.
