I guess you are referring to "labour shortages" mentioned in clause 6.1.2.3 c)?
Testing of contingency plan depends on its content.
Containment against certain work station operator shortage could be selecting another one according to polyvalence matrix.
Testing would be telling production team leader
- Hey let's imagine Mr Smith is not at work today, who would you select as his replacement?"
- Based on matrix I would select Mr. Johnson.
- Does Mr. Johnson is at work today?
- Let me check. No he is not.
- So who else you can choose?
- Eeeee, ??? There is none else on matrix to do his job.
- So what contingency plan is saying in this case?
- Eeeeee, ???, nothing.
Testing failed.
Alternatively when escalation process is pointed out, follow it until HR Manager or Plant Manager, than employment agency.
Keep in mind wording of contingency plan. Somewhere you should find "a notification process to the customer" as required by 6.1.2.3 d).
