In the last years, I already had 3 external audits for IT support as remote location service.
Despite the good results, with excelents comments from the auditor and without non-conformities, I have to say, i hate this IATF audit
From all the work that needs to do be prepared, to the 2 hours audit session, its a waste of time, doesn´t bring any added value to an IT customer support
This kind of audit is so far away from the reality of what is a IT Service Management and customer support, that its so frustating
I haven´t found that many information about IATF and IT, or people to discuss it, so looking fordward to read some comments

Why you feel the audit is non-value added? Can you please share more information?

It the IT doesn't affect product quality &/or customer satisfaction, you can review whether it needs to be included in the scope. If not needed, IT process can be excluded from audits.

As no value because the focus is not related to product quality or customer satisfaction, instead we are flooded with questions and preparation for job description, skill Matrix, A Working instruction with the review date correctly, Human Resources onboarding document, with the proper file coding, PDCA text as to be crystal clear. This is not auditing, this is being very picky.IT is interconnected with everything on a business, so there has to be a more precise focus on what really matters and It can´t be all

Sounds like an issue/problem with your human auditor...not the system...
