7.3.2 employee motivation and awareness.... We do annual employee surveys. With them, we have questions about our quality policy, how much they feel they contribute and are an important part of meeting quality objectives, how satisfied are they with their jobs, and any suggestions to improve. Most questions have a rating scale. We also don't ask for names, so people speak pretty freely. We use the answers as a gauge. Gives a general idea of how people feel. We have gotten many, many, ideas for improvements from this. Anything from a new tool to make the job easier (including employee designs/modifications) to different colors of gatoraide in the water coolers (really).
