Clause 7.3.2 is about employee motivation and there is a requirement of a documented process. According to clause 9.3.2.1 input to management review shall include measures of process effectiveness and efficiency.

Effectiveness is evaluated by using a questionnaire where weak spots are identified, evalutated and actions set up.

Efficiency I have no clue how to evaluate.

How did you evaluate efficiency for this process?
Any inputs appreciated..!!

Dollars per smile? :)

Not really a "process" that lends itself to measurement this way. Good luck.

Here's a simple explanation.

Effectiveness: The process meets its intended results; its doing what it was designed to do.

Efficiency: No waste of any kind.

This must be demonstrated with relevant data.

Hi,

I do agree this is kind of odd,
I do agree about the definition,

However,

I have a 'shall' to adress - and I would like to have a value that would actually say something meaningfull about the process.

Would this be possible you think?

So I would make it a sub process and put it into a larger process like training or something. Measure the larger process. If your called out on it in audit you can figure it out then. I would fire any auditor who does as there are so many more important issues. Good luck.

One of crucial organizational processes.
1. Human resources turn over, willingness to manage (suggest, implement) organizational improvements.
2. Exceeding, keeping budget for motivating activities.

On the last TS audit auditor recommended to improve our process of training. The question was: How we know that participants really understood training? Attendance list was for him not enough. From signature we don´t know if they understood subject of training... Do you use some testing or something else? I can not imagine testing for all training (changes in proces, etc...) Thank you for your proposals.

Yeah that's a killer. Most people go to work because they tire of tests in school. :). You can try observation and employee reviews in lieu of testing. Not as immediate, but probably more effective.

Hello,
Fortunately as of 30Sept2021 there is Sanctioned Interpretation #12 which has removed the "shall improve... efficiency" and clarified that not every process requires an efficiency measure. You can search the IATF website for sanctioned interpretations. Since I am new to posting on this site, I am unable to provide the direct link at this time.
It is still up to the organization to determine which processes do require and efficiency measurement. Examples of efficiency include wasted time and money. Example: Efficiently lowering cost of poor quality by X% of sales; whereas Effectively lowering the rate of occurrence of warranty claims.
I hope this helps.
