As you know, in clause 8.7.1.4 IATF 16949 states:
The organization shall utilize risk analysis (such as FMEA) methodology to assess risks in the rework process prior to a decision to rework the product
My question is that:
Can we use the provided PFMEA as the risk analysis has been required in the above? I.e. after provision of PFMEA, we can use it for rework decision making. For example based on severity or class in FMEA form, we can decide that the rework will be forbidden for all safety, regulatory and critical characteristics, and is allowed for other characteristics. Actually, in this method the risk analysis has only one dimension and that is severity.
Does the mentioned method satisfy the requirement of risk analysis for rework?
Thanks all
