IATF 16949 Quality Manual Template

My Quality Manual had not been "approved".. I hadn't gotten around to having everyone sign off on it, easy fix.. Our Contingency plan didn't mention how we deal with "cyber security".. I didn't have our "needs and expectations of our interested parties defined well enough".. I was actually still working on that.. risks and analysis not fully implemented, again I was still working on that.. I didn't have any manufacturing process audits scheduled, this was an oversight on my part, another easy fix.. We didn't discuss maintenance objectives in our previous Mgmt. review..

All in all, they were all easy fixes.. I'm sure it could have been much worse. The package is good, but there is a lot of revising that needs to happen to make it fix our company.. it's just the bones, I have to put the meat on the bones.. BUT, it's much better than trying to revise our previously poorly written documents or, worse yet, starting from scratch..

Thank you for the replies. I am in the same boat as you. Our current system is a mix of what several previous people tried to implement. I need to redo the entire system and was thinking if I at least had a good template set to start with would be better than trying to fix what I currently am looking at.

Do you mind telling me what "canned" package you went with for your system? I am behind the gun on my transitioning and am having writer's block on this system for some reason. Even after QS, TS and 14001, you would think I would be used to transitioning but I simply am just mentally blocked on this one.

Good day @Mimi28. I would caution strongly against any "canned" system. Particularly since I infer from your post that your organization is already certified to TS 16949.
A management system should benefit you and your organization. "Canned" systems rarely have the ability to do that. There are numerous of us on this site that have and continue to provide consultation from leadership training all the way to contracting to do the "actual work" within your organization to prepare for the transition. I would recommend that route versus trying to "buy " a transition compliance. Best of luck.
