IATF 16949 Supplier QMS Requirements

Under the IATF16949 can suppliers supply product for automotive components if they are NADCAP registered and not ISO9001 registered?

Nadcap accreditation is NOT equivalent to ISO 9001, despite the fact that most Nadcap accredited suppliers undergo a basic QMS review.

Nadcap accreditation is a process specific approval process.

If your customer approves something less than ISO 9000 you'll be ok.

It's all about what the customer is willing to approve.
I've supplied parts to Tier I with no accreditation at all...and with just ISO9001...and with only some lines being QS9000.
I never got certified to TS16949...but it never stopped anything.

It's all about the customer and their willingness/need/desire to buy from you.
