Dear all
I work for a brake manufacturing company our IATF certificate expiry date is 19 may 2024 ..due to delay in approval of RL support documents our recertification audit was not scheduled on time and this delay forced us to go into Certification audit.for certification audit was completed back for stage 1 and stage 2 on consecutive days and completed on March 29 is it possible to receive our certification before expiry date of may 19 2024

1-I'm not sure , but it's depending on the finding ; the major may take maximum of 90 working days to closeout as rules ;
2-communication with the lead auditor 'certification body for the rules could be more appropriate ;
3-the attached rules 5th ed. clauses 12:15 clarify this issue ;

Wait! You did Stage 1 & Stage 2 on Mar 29 and now have to do a Recert in May?

delay in approval of RL support documents
What does a delay in documents have to do with a recert date? One is an apple and the other a cement block. And if you're cert expiry is May 2024, doing the audit in May 2024 is too late, when a cert expires you turn into a pumpkin at midnight.

Something isn't lining up here.

The reason your organization had to go for Stage 1 and Stage 2 was that the timeline was not met, hence wasn't feasible to issue new certificate timely (as per IATF rules). Still, check with your certification body (registrar), to expedite the certification process.
Don't worry, even if the certificate is not received on time, you can collect an audit completion letter from the certification body and share it with your customers, if they request for the certificate. As per my experience, audit and certification delays are common mainly in the IATF certification scheme.

*as I remember ' I faced some of circumstances before ; the recertification audit should be conducted maximum by Jan., the certificate will be expired by April ; there's conditions for preventing flights and other constrains , the lead assessor conducted the ISO TS 16949 audit in April , I’m not sure if there’s gaps in-between or not

**but in the new certificate ' I success to make the certification body to state the date of the 1st one which is gained from 9 years before ; I'm not sure if the rules IATF can permit now but try to state the 1st certificate in the new one ;
***anyhow many companies can face gaps between certificates ; one of major causes are there's no orders from automotive customers ; as the deals could be continued we can submit again for the certification
