Good morning,
It will depend on the root cause, I use to have an external auditor that in order to get approval of my NC's they should point to a management system weakness so this automatically triggers to review a procedure or work instruction.
System purpose is achieving organizational goals through implementation of certain procedures.
Nonconformity is reaction against system failure, so
Plan - procedure defined (written or not)
Do - implementation of procedure and failure
Check - failure detected during audit (nonconformity raised)
Act - procedure revised
No other option.
In our case, we need to answer the NC in the CARA system. There is a standard format to be followed.
The systematic action is a must and mainly is referring to the SOP or standard updated in action.
