Identifying Aspects & Impacts on Control Plan

We just completed our second surveillance audit (with no n/c's!) and I ended up in a long conversation with our Registrar about using control plans/fmeas for aspects & impacts.
He is really hoping I try it and kind of do the trial for his other registered companies.
What does everyone think?
These are tools we use all the time anyway, and I don't think it would take much revision to make it work.

All opinions appreciated!

Go along with what he says. There are others doing the same thing to varying degrees. This would work especially good for aspects related to emergencies and non-standard occurances.

My question is...Is he auditing or consulting?

Good question. Auditing, with the usual little bit of consulting advice on the side.

He may be seeing a potential issue down the line. Consulting and auditing at the same time is a Bozo No-No, but we are all guilty of eating the fruit of the poisonous tree occassionally.
