Hi All,
I am working through designing a medical device and I have come across sub clause 8.9.1.7 which discusses Comparative tracking index (CTI).
By reviewing the standard it looks like I have to define what CTI my insulating material is but there is no consequence between being a I and IIIB - is this the case?
My intend is to ensure that we design a device with a CTI less than 600 DTI - On the CTI scale is 600 worse than 0?? We will show compliance by performing UL testing on the insulation.
Apologies to some who may see this as a silly question but I have never come across this before.
Thanks,
Alan
