We have two units in single premises. One unit is certified for ISO 9001:2008 certification & suppling to Agriculture & Constructions sector.Other unit is manufacturing the Gear components ISO/TS 16949 certified suppling to Automotive sector.
Recently our corporate office has taken decision to make the merger of two units in single.
We have following queries:
1. Can we put both units scope under single certificate.
2. How will be the documents.

Why not ask your CB (not the auditor)?

If your potential customer is a Public Sector Purchaser by Tendering, generally in India, the Tender documents specify Quality system certified to ISO 9000 (latest version). In such specific instances, ISO/TS 16949 will not be accepted. (Tender disqualification).
All explanations that there exists a relation between ISO 9k and ISO/TS 16949 will not be accepted.
