Info on manufacturing of Dies,Tooling & moulds for Plastics, Al and steel industry

Hi !!
I need some basic information regarding manufacturing of Dies,Tooling & moulds for Plastics, Aluminium and steel industry.

I have an interview coming up with a comapny that works in this area. I have NO manufacturing experience. They have implemented ISO 9001 and are looking to implement 14000 and 18000.

They make moulds for plastic items like packaging applications and pipes, electric, electronic and engineering components; Dies for Aluminium industry like extruded profiles and die cast components (Arg!! Greek and latin) and tools and components for sheet metal like Blanking, Piercing, Notching Tools etc (more Greek and latin!!!).

If all you manufacturing people out there can understand any of this, please guide me in the "path to enlightenment!"!

Sorry no one replied to you on this. I'd research the internet for process examples related to dies and such. Without any manufacturing experience, not to mention dies, there's a lot to learn, unfortunately.

Since this is so late, if you get notification of my reply, do let us know what happened in the interview.
