Considering that the post you quoted was from last May, I think you're misinterpreting it. I read it that they were ready by 3rd quarter 2017, and are currently auditing to the 2015 standard. Their CB transition audit is next month.

If you read Annex A, you will see that your existing QMS does not require re-structuring, or an adoption of the revised terminologies now included in the 2015 revision.
You should be auditing your processes, and their ability to meet your company, and other "interested parties" requirements (customers, regulators etc..) and also whether your processes are meeting your defined quality objectives (hopefully some measure of process performance here..i.e quality, delivery, costings etc..).
There is no requirement, nor has there ever been, to audit against the clauses of the standard. If your QMS is well implemented, and supported by the management team, there should be no need to change your internal audits from the 2008 to the 2015 revision, other than understanding the revised terminologies, and being able to demonstrate this to your external auditor confidently. Please read Annex A..:)
