ok maybe the post describing the workshop didn't fully clarify what people could learn out of it, so here goes:
1. identifying usesless sources of information and looking for more reliable sources
2. handling interruptions during the audits
3. accepting unacceptable resposnibilities
4. when to call off or re-schedule the audit
5. how to keep focused on the track during the audit
6. how to avoid getting involved in personal conflicts
7. how to listen carefully to the auditee's words
8. how to not promise what's not in your authority
9. what type of questions should be asked (open questions)
10. how to coordinate work with your co-auditor
11. how to write notes
12. how to deal with authority
13. how to spot a nonconformance
the workshop usually rus for 1 hour
but the lecture goes on for two days: here's the topics and how they're presented:
1. An intro to quality - lecture
2. An intro to the ISO Organization and ISO9000 Series - lecture
3. The QM Principles - discussion
4. QM Principles - Workshop
5. The Process Approach - Lecture
6. ISO9001:2000 overview - Lecture
7. An intro to Auditing - Basic concepts and definitions - Lecture
8. Planning for the audit - Lecture
9. Audit Preparation - Lecture
10. Checklist Preparation Workshop - Workshop
11. Audit Execution - techniques discussed include : forward/backward tracing, trail following, taking notes, what type of questions to ask, behavioural techniques and personal attribues, how to use the process approach to improve your audit performance, coordinating with your co-auditor.....etc. - Lecture
12. Audit Workshop - Workshop
13. Reporting on the audit - Lecture
14. Case study - Workshop

Depending on the competence and experience of the attendance i ay choose to elaborate on some points and not on others, or focus on a specific workshop and not another, it all depends on the attendance.
