Re: Internal Audit frequency?
It depend on the top Mangement attitude .But generally If you found that in yearly audit ,you have more Major NCR in the audit then you should have to increase the frequency . Also it depend on the attitude that how much importance is given for the implementation of ISO system in organization .
I don't believe it's a matter of attitude! ISO 9000, 9001 and 9004 all make the point that management should use data!
We simply have to ensure two things - and there's a danger in taking one requirement/phrase of the standard and analyzing it in isolation of the others - because we have to consider:
Internal audits have to be performed at planned
intervals and that an audit programme (a series of audits) has to be established taking into consideration etc...
It is not, despite conventional wisdom, necessary or even desirable to have a whole 12 month calendar of audits planned out, or that you commit to even doing an audit a month! You can decide on the prevailing business conditions if you need to do an audit a month for say the 'slow' period of the financial year, or increase them to weekly, when there's a push to get product shipped and invoiced at the end of the financial year, as examples.
You decide - but it had better be based on
data...
