Re: Training for TS

But don't you have to pass a lead auditor class to train internal auditors?

Re: Training for TS

First of all, welcome to the cove! :bigwave:

From an ISO 9001 or a ISO/TS 16949, the answer is no. Different customer specifics, however will have additional requirements. Ford, for example requires TS internal auditor instructors to meet their requirements for internal auditors.

Bob - Where can I find more information on these internal auditor requirements?

My company is seriously considering TS 16949 certification specifically for Ford and I was unaware of these requirements.

Thanks

It is very important to know and understand ISO/TS 16949:2009 as well as the applicable (automotive) Customer-Specific Requirements.

Look at Page xii, par 0.5. It states: "This Technical Specification, coupled with applicable customer-specific requirements, defines the fundamental quality system requirements for those subscribing to this Technical Specification."

(Emphasis mine)

Ford CSR's. http://www.iatfglobaloversight.org/docs/FordspecTSJune2013.pdf

Look at Page 25, Par 4.37.
