Internal Audits - skipped clauses?

One query-Is every clause is mandatory to audit internally, for example in quality auditing- We have skipped some question during internal audit with Auditee and not mentioned in internal audit report is there any Non conformity will raise in external audit that you did not cover this question which was requirement in ISo.

Welcome to the Cove.

You and your colleagues need to be sure that your system conforms to the standard before you arrange for the certification audit.

Rarely is every clause covered in just one internal audit.

So, I recommend you continue with your internal audits until you are sure that your system is effective and conforms to the standard.

This is what it says (in case you haven't actually read the requirement) so you decide.

9.2.1 The organization shall conduct internal audits at planned intervals to provide information on whether the quality management system:
a) conforms to:
1) the organization’s own requirements for its quality management system;
2) the requirements of this International Standard;
b) is effectively implemented and maintained.

I'm not sure I understand the question, but I will say this: During internal audits we typically do not audit to the standard, we audit to our procedures which are designed to meet the requirements of the standard. Furthermore, every audit is a sample, and does not cover every requirement in every audit.

So given the above we would have to know specifically what was left out in the internal audit to know what to do. It would also be helpful to know why it was left out.

Depends on what the questions are. What do you mean? Have you got a checklist which is based on ISO 9001 but turned into questions? If so, that’s not much use and isn’t really an internal audit.

Unless the standard has changed, auditing your QMS to the standard only happens once. If your QMS meets that requirement I would audit the outputs to your QMS.

Don’t forget, the zeitgeist is to audit process(es) not just outputs. P.D.C.A
