Interpretation of ISO Standard

I am presently reviewing the design development portion of our ISO certification. It seems that the new interpretation for the ISO standard is that a general process a sufficient if pertinent records show the evidence of that process.

I have been part of delegation certification for both military and civil aviation, and never was a general process sufficient to demonstrate the compliance or efficiency of a requirement.

How is the correct way to interpret the ISO Standard?:bonk:

hello and welcome

Hi F Dumas and welcome to the Cove,

the requirements in the standard are the minimum requirements. Abviously, some industries require much more detail in certain areas. It is up to you to determine what those areas are.

You may want to review the AS9000 board as it relates to aviation.
